Easter Sunday

Maybe I should begin by saying that Easter didn't quite go as planned, but it was still good anyway. Due to the nature of both our callings, by the time we get home in the mid afternoon, David and I are both exhausted. Today everyone was even more exhausted than usual, and everyone fell asleep but me. Isn't this picture so cute?!! :-)

Once everyone woke up, we had an Easter egg hunt with the girls in our living room. They got quite a kick out of it.

Instead of giving them candy, we gave them flowers. They really liked that. (Although maybe if they knew that it was instead of candy, they would have objected.) :-)

After the Easter egg hunt, we had dinner. You will never believe it, but this is a picture of our dinner. I know, its just a little bit strange. :-) This is what L REALLY wanted for dinner!! Throughout the whole Easter egg hunt, she kept asking me, "Can we eat them now?" And since it was so late, we did it. We also had strawberries and apples.

M started getting a bit upset about taking the shells off her egg. So she decided to put them back on.

Here you can see all the pieces that she put back on. Funny girl! :-) (Have I mentioned that she is OCD? Maybe I should do a blog entry about that sometime.)

However plain dinner might have been, our special Easter dessert made up for it completely!! :-) We had homemade chocolate cake, made from freshly ground whole wheat flour, topped with whipped cream and perfectly ripe strawberries! MmmmmMMM!!!!! I think this is our new favorite dessert! :-)

Afterwards, we went on a walk and admired all the spring flowers that are in bloom.

And just for kicks, here is a picture from last Easter. My, how they have grown!!
