Talking

M's talking is amazing!! Lately she has been learning so many words, tons of new ones every day. So I decided to write down everything she said in a day, with a small explanation of what was going on at the time:

1. Mom (she came in while I was still in bed)
2. done (pulling the blankets off me)
3. eat (I asked if she wanted to eat breakfast)
4. bread
5. bread and butter—to her, this must sound like a silly tongue twister. To say it, she moves her tongue in and out (we had if for breakfast.)
6. nose (wanted her nose wiped)
7. button-pronounced “boh-boh” (she was getting dressed)
8. roar (telling me about the stuffed kitty)
9. happy (after I said, “that would make M happy”)
10. achoo (telling me she sneezed)
11. piece (she was doing her puzzle)
12. bear (doing her puzzle)
13. cup & water & signed thirsty (wanted a drink)
15. cheese (she saw me put away the grater when emptying the dish drainer)
16. please and signed please (REALLY wanted cheese)
17. poop (patting her diaper-requesting a diaper change)
18. oint (requesting ointment during her diaper change.)
19. light (wanting to play with the light switch in the bathroom)
20. Moo-moo (she pronounces it boom-boom. This is her stuffed cow)
21. ooh ooh ooh ooh (her stuffed monkey)
22. signed doll (she had her doll's blanket and was trying to find her doll)
23. teeth & paste (wanted to brush her teeth)
25. oops-she says boop, like book but with a p (she dropped her toothbrush)
26. Mom & Dad (pointing to our toothbrushes)
28. back (putting back Dad's toothbrush)
29. away (telling me she wanted to put the comb away in the droor)
30. um num num (while she was eating a banana)
31. ah done & signed all done (she finished the banana)
32. belt (wants her booster seat belt off/is trying to get it off)
33. pants (I put her pants on)
34. light (requesting that the light be turned on, the sun went behind a cloud)
35. hot (telling me the stove was hot while I was cooking)
36. egg (while I was cooking)
37. scriptures-pronounced “pee-poh” (scripture reading at lunch time)
38. bowl (requesting some soup)
39. ice-pronounced “ssss” (she wanted ice to cool her soup like L had. When I said, “Oh, ice.” she blinked her eyes. (ice=eyes))
40. spoon
41. pants (doll getting dressed)
42. baby (her doll)
43. night-night (this was the first day she said this word, and she was very excited about it. She said it over and over through our whole singing time before her nap.)
44. no no-pronounced “mo-mo” while shaking her hand back and forth, fingers in an L shape
45. shoes & socks & bike ( we were getting ready to go on a bike ride)
48. apple & pear (snack time)
50. away and drawer-pronounced “bwow” (she wanted to put a fork away in the drawer)
52. bum (L going potty)
53. tickle tickle
54. hands (telling L to wash her hands)
55. up & down
57. wet (diaper)
58. bubbles (doing dishes with Mom)
59. fork-pronounced with a long and dramatic “kkkkkk”
60. et & iss (She says these all the time, I think they mean this and that)

That is 61 words! There are also quite a few more that she just didn't say this day-like cup, plate, food, milk, outside, hi, hello, bye, here-ya-go, shirt, dress, book, color, coat, kitty, bird, paper, chair...I am sure I am forgetting a few. :-)
