M's talking is amazing!! Lately she has been learning so many words, tons of new ones every day. So I decided to write down everything she said in a day, with a small explanation of what was going on at the time:

1. Mom (she came in while I was still in bed)
2. done (pulling the blankets off me)
3. eat (I asked if she wanted to eat breakfast)
4. bread
5. bread and butter—to her, this must sound like a silly tongue twister. To say it, she moves her tongue in and out (we had if for breakfast.)
6. nose (wanted her nose wiped)
7. button-pronounced “boh-boh” (she was getting dressed)
8. roar (telling me about the stuffed kitty)

18. oint (requesting ointment during her diaper change.)

23. teeth & paste (wanted to brush her teeth)
25. oops-she says boop, like book but with a p (she dropped her toothbrush)
26. Mom & Dad (pointing to our toothbrushes)
28. back (putting back Dad's toothbrush)

36. egg (while I was cooking)
37. scriptures-pronounced “pee-poh” (scripture reading at lunch time)
38. bowl (requesting some soup)

40. spoon
41. pants (doll getting dressed)
42. baby (her doll)
43. night-night (this was the first day she said this word, and she was very excited about it. She said it over and over through our whole singing time before her nap.)
44. no no-pronounced “mo-mo” while shaking her hand back and forth, fingers in an L shape
45. shoes & socks & bike ( we were getting ready to go on a bike ride)

60. et & iss (She says these all the time, I think they mean this and that)

That is 61 words! There are also quite a few more that she just didn't say this day-like cup, plate, food, milk, outside, hi, hello, bye, here-ya-go, shirt, dress, book, color, coat, kitty, bird, paper, chair...I am sure I am forgetting a few. :-)

Going Out for Ice Cream

This was M's first experience having an ice cream cone. I wish I could put our videos on here, because we got a super cute one of M wiping her face with a napkin between bites of her ice cream cone.

M thought I was tickling her when I washed her up. :-)

Cinderella

Here, L and M are playing the mean step mother from Cinderella, L's VERY favorite movie. They get in bed with the pillows propped up behind them and the blankets pulled up high, and then they yell, "Cinderella!" over and over again. Sometimes L sits in her bed and calls for Cindrella (ME) for over half an hour!

Welcoming James Home

M loved James and completely latched on to him. This is one of the many hugs James got. James got down on the floor and gave her a hug, and she wouldn't let go. After he removed himself from her, he backed up. She moved forward, and gave him another hug. James backed up again and M gave him another hug! It probably happened 4 times, and only ended because James picked her up. She also gave him tons of kisses.

Ouch!

M got her first big bump! She was running and fell and smacked her head on the corner of the piano bench leg. Immediately, a vertical line on her forehead turned dark bluish green and was growing bigger every second. She didn't cry as much as I thought she would, and she seemed to get over it pretty quick. We were really surprised. As David says, "she is a tough cookie!"

M

This girl is so cute!!! Here she is reading a book...she LOVES books, and spends time every day sitting by the bookshelf reading books. (Yes, the book is upside down. I don't know why, but she seems to prefer to read her books that way.)

M also loves getting her picture taken, especially this style with me.

And this picture is awesome! I laugh every time I look at this. This picture is so completely M!! She is one big goof ball!!! We love her!

This picture is not the best quality ever, but I really like it anyway. It shows just a glimpse of the little stinker in her. The real M. :-)

Playing in the Snow

Here is L making a snow angel. She thought that was really neat.

Every single time we go out in the snow, all M wants to do is stand there and eat it. Today the snow was too powdery for her to pick it up, so she preferred the big frozen snow chunks from the sides of the road and sidewalks. Yuck!!
